Overview of the Use of Chinese Herbal Medicines As Raw Materials for Health Food
Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history of being used in health care and diet therapy. Therefore, the development of Chinese medicinal materials into healthy food has attracted the attention of the food biotechnology industry. The two tables “Can provide usages as food and Chinese medicinal materials at the same time” and “Compiled list of raw materials for food use” are the current management basis for Chinese medicinal materials as healthy food materials. This article discusses the problems existing between the two tables to provide reference for the competent authority.
