The Elderly Rights Clinic of National Chung-Ching University (Taiwan) is a research and teaching project that combines interdisciplinary teaching program and community service on elderly rights. It has since 2018 joined the national University Social Responsibilities (USR) Project which emphasizes the realization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Students are cultivated with knowledge and skills to work on cases of elderly rights through Problem-Based-Learning and Learning-by-Doing in classroom as well as community service activities. Apart from providing need-centered case consultation to uphold elderly dignity, the project also promotes “the Third-Life” scheme which fosters autonomous planning of an active elderhood.
