Can Polygraph Test Results Be Used as Evidence?

測謊雖是蒐集客觀數據，對受測者是否說謊進行判斷，但因不具科學再現性等原因而受到質疑；司法實務對測謊態度則趨於謹慎，在刑事案件認為須符合一定條件才能當作證據，在民事訴訟則認為測謊不能取代舉證活動。

Despite the fact that polygraph testing is a technique to collect objective data to determine whether a subject is lying, it has been criticized for concerns such as a lack of scientific reproducibility. Legal procedures are generally cautious when it comes to using polygraph results as evidence in criminal cases, which requires the fulfillment of certain requirements. In civil cases, polygraph tests are typically thought to be insufficient to replace the burden of proof.
