US FDA Regulation of E-cigarettes and others Tobacco Products
美國食品藥物管理局於2016年首度將電子煙納入菸品管制中，將涉及菸草成分之製成物或產品，皆納入菸品管制項目中，臺灣目前針對電子菸管理上有菸害防制法第14條及藥事法第22條等相關規定，惟現行制度仍有改善空間。
In 2016, U.S. FDA finalized a rule extending their regulatory authority to cover all tobacco products, including vaporizers, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (E-cigarettes), e-pipes, and so on. U.S. FDA regulates the manufacture, import, packaging, labeling, advertising, promotion, sale, and distribution of E-cigarettes and others tobacco products. However, some people think that the rule will likely fall short. Also, E-cigarette makers have long complained that regulations could wipe them out. In Taiwan, the Ministry of Health and Welfare categorized E-cigarettes as a regulated drug in 2009 under the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act.
