Adverse Drug Reaction Due to Gardasil and Cervarix HPV Vaccines in Japan
全球首支HPV疫苗於2006年問世,同時在該年度取得美國FDA認正上市,日本於2010年針對12∼16歲少女實行疫苗免費施打計畫,施打的疫苗是Gardasil與Cervarix。然而,卻在後續追蹤過程發現有不良反應的出現,一開始因為因果關係無法證明而不被重視,直到問題越來越嚴重,日本政府終於成立HPV疫苗副作用的專案調查小組。
In the U.S., Gardasil vaccine was licensed in 2006. The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine was provided at no cost to Japanese girls between the ages of 12-16 years old. However, many girls reported feeling uncomfortable after getting vaccinated. The HPV vaccines were not withdrawn from the market in Japan, but the government did not promote its use anymore. In October 2013, a special taskforce was formed in Japan in order to investigate the adverse effects of the HPV vaccine. Many nations raising concerns about adverse effects of vaccine and try to be more cautious about the new vaccine.
